When late actor Rishi Kapoor saved Padmini Kolhapure from fire twice

Veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure has shared screen space with late actor Rishi Kapoor in a number of hit flicks. The actress will be gracing the forthcoming episode of the popular music reality show Superstar Singer 2. She will be accompanied by good friend and actress Poonam Dhillon. In course of the show Padmini Kolhapure revealed how the late actor Rishi Kapoor saved her from fire not once but twice.

The forthcoming episode of the music reality show will be a ‘Padmini and Poonam’ special episode. Honouring the legendary work of actresses the contestants will be performing some of their most memorable songs as a tribute to them. One of them is ‘Hoga Tumse Pyaara Kaun’. Padmini Kolhapure not only shook a leg on the song but also shared an interesting story.

She said, “Chintu Ji was standing on the engine and singing the song while I was seated close to the engine. Although I was quite scared at the time, to cross all the mountains because it was a real train scene which was a little difficult. My black shawl afterwards caught fire in that coal engine because of the heat during that period. This was the second time that had happened to me, and Chintu Ji immediately helped me by throwing that shawl at the earliest. I had such a frightful experience, thus this song will always have a special place in my heart.”

The second time around, as per the actress, Rishi Kapoor saved her while the two were filming the blockbuster movie, Prem Rog.
