When ‘Pathaan’ Shah Rukh Khan showed Gerard Butler how to do ‘Indian dancing’ at Mannat

Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy promoting his upcoming release Pathaan. The actor who has a huge fan following across the globe once hosted Hollywood star Gerard Butler at his palatial home Mannat. The 300 star was all praise for the Badshah and even recalled how he taught him Indian dancing.

Shah Rukh Khan taught Gerard Butler Indian Dancing

Speaking with India Today, Gerard Butler went down memory lane and shared all about his meeting with Shah Rukh Khan. He further added about how he had enjoyed some great moments at SRK’s home Mannat.

Gerard said, “I was actually travelling once, and we had a party one night at Shah Rukh Khan’s house. And he was showing me how to do the Indian dancing.”

The Hollywood actor also revealed the fun he had learning Indian dancing from the Badshah of Bollywood.

When asked if what his favourite Bollywood movie is the Hollywood star shared that it’s Mira Nair’s 2001 film ‘Monsoon Wedding’. He added that this film made him want to marry an Indian woman. Not only is Gerard fond of Bollywood movies but is open to act in Hindi films as well.

Gerard Butler wishes to work in Indian films

In the same interview he added, “I remember around the time of Slumdog Millionaire when I went over and actually met a bunch of actors and filmmakers and all that to get me in an Indian movie. I want to do an Indian movie, but it’s never happened. But haven’t had any offers. So here, I’m putting myself out. Will work for food in India.”

On the work front, Gerard Butler Gerard’s new action thriller Plane was released in India on January 13. Directed by Jean-Francois Richet and produced by Lionsgate, the film stars Mike Colter, Daniella Pineda, Kelly Gale, Yoson An, Remi Adeleke, among others.

Shah Rukh Khan has Pathaan co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. It will release in theatreson January 25. He also has Dunki and Jawan in his kitty.
