THROWBACK! When Birthday boy RajKummar Rao recalled his struggling days: It wasn’t easy at all

RajKummar Rao is one of the most versatile actors in Bollywood. With hard work and talent, RajKummar has successfully carved a niche for himself in the industry. Every movie that he has done so far proves how good he is as an actor. Be it thriller, romantic or comedy, RajKummar has proved that he ace any genre effortlessly. Well, he made his Hindi film debut with Love, Sex Aur Dhokha and later appeared in films like Trapped, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Badhaai Ho among others. Today, he has made a mark for himself but it wasn’t an easy ride for him.

RajKummar Rao recalls his early days

The actor has had his share of ups and downs. And he has always been vocal about his struggle. In an earlier interview with Bollywood Bubble, RajKummar had opened up about the initial days of his career and how it wasn’t ‘easy at all’. He had revealed his mother’s reaction on his decision to move to Mumbai.

Recalling his early days, RajKummar had said, “She was very happy that I took this call to study acting and to go to FTII (Film and Television Institute of India) and to come to Mumbai. And, it wasn’t easy at all. This was not easy at all, this is not an easy city to manage. But, she was always by my side, and she would always, whenever I used to call her, say, “It would work out and great things would happen with you and don’t worry about it. Just keep working hard, be honest.” The actor further revealed that his mother always understood his passion for his work and that she supported him ‘wholeheartedly’.

Furthermore, when he was asked if his parents were aware of his struggle, RajKummar said, “Maybe not all of it. But some of it they were.” Talking about his mother, RajKummar said that his mother knew everything and that is why she supported him and his journey. “If finance was a problem, she would manage it somehow, arrange it, so that I can live my life. It was equally her dream as well,” he added.

RajKummar shared a close bond with his mother. Sadly, she passed away a few years ago.

Today, RajKummar is one of the most successful actors in Bollywood. He recently delivered a terrific performance in Raj & DK’s Guns & Gulaabs. The actor will be next seen in Stree sequel.
