When Rani Mukerji got exchanged with another baby at hospital after birth

Actress Rani Mukerji has won over a humongous fan following since she was seen in Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Since then there has been no turnng back for the green eyed beauty. Rani has given some spectacular performances and has been winning hearts. But not many know that the beauty who rules over the hearts of many was exchanged with another baby at hospital after birth.

The actress had revealed the shocking incident in an old interview and also revealed how mother Krishna Mukherjee found her with a Punjabi family.

In an old interview with Simi Garewal on her talk show, India’s Most Desirable Rani Mukerji had shared the interesting anecdote.

She said, “It so happened I think when babies are born they have been given something… tags. But apparently, the nurse had taken me to do some change and then got me back and when she got back the baby to my mom, my mom was talking to one of my uncles. So they were chatting and my mother saw the baby and said ‘Oh my god! this is not my baby. My daughter has brown eyes. Go and search for my child.'”

Rani Mukerji further added, “This is not my baby and the nurse said, ‘No no this is your baby’ and my uncle was like how can it not be your baby, it must be your baby, just look at it carefully all babies look alike when they are born. Mom said no she had light eyes, I’m going to see where she is and she in that state went out in each and every room to see if I’m there and I was finally in one Sardarji’s room who already had some six daughters and this was the seventh one. Even now they joke that ‘You are actually a Punjabi. My mistake you ended up in our family‘”

Rani Mukerji had tied the knot with filmmaker Aditya Chopra, a Punjabi, in April 2014. They got married in a private ceremony in Italy. The couple welcomed their first child a daughter Adira the next year.

On the work front, Rani Mukerji was last seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2 opposite Saif Ali Khan. The movie also featured Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari Wagh in pivotal roles. She will next be seen in Ashima Chibber’s Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway.
