When Salman Khan wanted to marry Rekha: Shayad isliye meri shaadi nahi hui

Today, on October 10, one of the veteran stars and the epitome of beauty Rekha Ji is celebrating her 68th birthday. Though she is not on social media, Rekha receives lovely birthday wishes from her fans. As Rekha Ji turned a year older today, we recently came across a throwback story when actor Salman Khan wanted to marry the veteran star. That’s right.

During the promotion of the 2014 film Super Nani, Rekha graced Salman Khan hosted reality show Bigg Boss. It was then that the duo opened up about this cute incident. The Sultan actor revealed, “Uss waqt yoga se toh mera koi connection tha hi nahi par kyunki Rekha ji wahaan pe sikhati thi yoga, main aur mere dost pohoch jaaya karte the (At that time I had no connection with yoga, but as Rekha ji taught there, I and my friends used to go there).”

Rekha then went on to reveal that Salman Khan had even told everyone that he wanted to marry her. “I want to marry that girl when I grow up,” the veteran actor had said. To this, Salman had jokingly added, “Shayad isliye meri shaadi nahi hui (that is why I never got married)”

The Silsila actor had an equally funny reply as she said, “Shaayad meri bhi isiliye nahin huyi… (I guess even I never got married)”

Rekha is the epitome of grace and beauty. The evergreen star has always left millions tongue-tied with her beauty and charm. She began her acting career at the age of 14 but over the years, Rekha ji has delivered several hits in her career including films Silsila, Raampur Ka Lakshman, Mr Natwarlal, Do Anjaane, Khubsoorat, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, and many others.
