When Shah Rukh Khan chose Farah Khan over a shoot during her emotional trauma

The stories of Shah Rukh Khan’s big heart are heard in plenty every now and then. As big is his stardom, the superstar’s humility and heart are as big too. The actor is known to be a great friend and a video that surfaced online recently, shows how Shah Rukh Khan has been a great friend to Farah Khan.

An old video of Farah Khan talking to Shah Rukh during what looks like an interview, sees the filmmaker recall the time SRK became her therapist. It was after her father’s death and while she was going through a low phase in her life.

In the video, Farah said to Shah Rukh, “My dad passed away, but he sent you here to look after me. I really want to thank you because you do look after me. I recall this one incident, many years ago when I was going through an emotional trauma, I don’t even know if you remember it because you have seen me through so many traumas.”

She continued, “I was crying on the phone and within half an hour, you left your shooting… I opened the door, and you were standing outside. You sat with me for one hour and you just talked to me. It was like having the best therapy ever.”

SRK and Farah have been friends for a very long time. Farah made the actor dance to her steps on innumerable songs since the 90s, including before and even after becoming a filmmaker. After turning a director, she made 3 of her 4 films with the Badshah only, including her directorial debut Main Hoon Na. She also became the first director to have SRK go shirtless and flaunt his six-pack abs in Om Shanti Om. Post that, they did Happy New Year together as well.

Shah Rukh Khan upcoming movies

On the professional front, Shah Rukh has given the biggest hit of the year till date with Pathaan. Next up, he has 2 more big releases slated for this year. First one is Atlee’s Jawan which releases on September 7, 2023. He will close the year in December with Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. As for Farah, she hasn’t been back at the director’s chair since her last release in 2014. There had been reports of her helming Satte Pe Satta remake but no concrete development happened on it.
