Last month, during the promotions of Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, Ranbir left fans excited as he revealed that he is currently working on Kishore Kumar’s biopic.
Speaking of biopic, in 2016, veteran actress Sharmila Tagore chose Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor to play her and late husband Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi in latter’s biopic.

At the red carpet of Lux Golden Rose Awards, Sharmila Tagore had said, “I would like a movie to be made on Mansoor Ali Khan. If someone really directs it properly, and with proper research, I think I would like it. I think his life has got a lot of things, about the accident, about losing his father and playing cricket with such a handicap.” When she was asked to name an actor she would like to see playing Mansoor in his biopic, she said, “I really don’t know. Somebody who looks like Tiger. Maybe Ranbir Kapoor or somebody in the family.”
When asked who she would like to play her on the screen, Sharmila answered, “That’s a real challenge. What about Alia Bhatt?”
In 1969, Sharmila Tagore married cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. They welcomed three children together – Saif Ali Khan, Saba Ali Khan, and Soha Ali Khan. In 1990, Mansoor, fondly called Tiger Pataudi, died after battling a lung infection.
Talking about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, they got married in April and were blessed with a baby girl in November 2022.
