When Sridevi hilarious trolled daughter Janhvi Kapoor for not speaking Hindi

Janhvi Kapoor turned 25 today and the birthday girl is being showered with love and wishes from her family and fans. The actress visited the Tirupati temple to seek the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara Swami on her special day. Janhvi Kapoor is the daughter of later actress Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. On her birthday, an old interview of Sridevi and Janhvi Kapoor has been going viral. In the interview, Sridevi hilariously trolled daughter Janhvi for not speaking Hindi

Back in 2012, Janhvi was seen with her mother Sridevi at a magazine cover launch event. She was only 15 years old then as she made an appearance with her mother. Janhvi was not so comfortable with speaking in Hindi as she was asked to speak in the language which she managed to talk in, but with an accent and broken words.

Janhvi said, “I don’t… Ji mujhe abhi pata nahi main abhi school mein padhai karaai hu aur (I don’t really know. I am currently a school student and)” Sridevi quickly intervened and asked the media to not ask her questions in Hindi which she mocked her daughter urban Hindi accent. Years later, Jahvi has left everyone stunned with her performance in movies and that too with ‘shudh hindi’.

Jnahvi Kapoor made her debut with Ishaan Khatter in the movie Dhadak. She was then seen in Roohi and Gunjan Saxena. She will be seen next in Good Luck Jerry and Mr and Mrs Mahi.
