Sridevi was one of the most loved actresses in the Indian film industry. Sridevi made her debut as a child in the 1967 Tamil film Kandhan Karunai. The iconic actress made her Hindi film debut in Rani Mera Naam. She later starred in many films such as Vayathinile, Angeekaaram, Meendum Kokila, Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka, Himmatwala, Tohfa, and English Vinglish among others. Sridevi’s last film was Mom.
Sridevi stopped talking to Boney Kapoor
On her death anniversary, we take a look back at the time she decided to stop talking to Boney Kapoor for three months. During a media interaction, Sridevi had revealed that the reason behind not talking to him was because she wanted to prepare for her film Mom.
During the trailer launch of Mom, Sridevi had said, “For three months, I did not speak to Boney ji as a husband. I used to greet him good morning and after pack up, I used to wish him goodnight – that’s all we spoke. That was the only conversation I had with him.”
She added, “I am totally a director’s actor. I surrender totally to him (director Ravi Udyawar) I followed his vision and he did a wonderful job.”
Sridevi delivered a terrific performance in Mom. The late actress’ performance is remembered even today.
On the other hand, Sridevi and Boney Kapoor got married in 1996. Boney Kapoor recently shared a picture of Sridevi as he remembered his late wife. The filmmaker captioned it saying, “You left us 5 years back… your love and memories will keep us going and will remain with us forever…”
Boney Kapoor also shared Sridevi’s last picture with family and made fans emotional. Sridevi died on February 24, 2018.
