Throwback! Zeenat Aman shares how Raj Kapoor played a big role in helping her shoot for Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram

Veteran actress Zeenat Aman has been grabbing headlines for all the right reasons. Ever since she made her debut on Instagram, she has been winning hearts with her posts. She never misses a chance to take a trip down memory lane and recall fond memories with her co-stars from shoot days. The popular actress has been a part of some classic films during the ‘90s. In her recent post, she reminisced how she burst into tears while shooting a song in the film Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram.

The veteran actress shared a still from the song Chanchal Sheetal Nirmal Komal from Satyan, Shivam, Sundaram. Talking about the song, she wrote, “Shashi ji and I in a still from the song Chanchal Sheetal Nirmal Komal. Giant mushrooms, pink clouds, bellowing smoke, enormous flowers, sexy outfits, otherworldly props…this fantasy song sequence from Satyam Shivam Sundaram went the whole nine yards.”

Shedding light on what went behind the scenes, the actress stated, “Few people know of the drama that went on behind the scenes though. This was my first film under the RK banner, and I was not a classical dancer by any stretch of the imagination. When Rajji narrated the sequence to me, I burst into a flood of tears! I was convinced I would make a fool of my self and sink the entire film. Through hiccups and sobs I explained my predicament to him. Rajji laughed. “What will I do with you convent girls and your two left feet?” he exclaimed.”

She further mentioned how Raj Kapoor made things easy for her. Zeenat Ji shared, “He did do something of course. He instructed legendary choreographer Sohanlal to teach me mudras but not any complicated choreography. Simultaneously, genius costume designer Bhanu Athaiya created a range of sensational outfits, and art director A. Rangaraj mounted a stunning set. And thus, the SSS team created a wonderland.”
