Karan Johar is one of the most celebrated directors in Bollywood. Son of the filmmaker, Yash Johar, Karan too opted to be a filmmaker and on October 16, 1998, his first film as director had made it to the screens. Well, we are talking about one of the most loved films in the history of Indian cinema, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.

The movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji was a super hit at the box office, and was the highest grossing film of 1998. ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ not just won hearts of the audiences, but also won many awards including National Award in two categories, Best Film For Providing Wholesome Entertainment and Best Female Playback Singer (Alka Yagnik). From the candy-floss romance to some emotional sequences to amazing songs, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ had everything to be a perfect entertainer.

While Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol were already a famous name in the industry, ‘KKHH’ surely made Karan Johar and Rani Mukerji a household name. It’s been 19 years the film released, and not just people who were there in 90s, even today’s generation enjoys the movie.
