Deepti Naval
The dusky doe-eyed diva of Bollywood, Deepti Naval won critical acclaim for her sensitive and ‘close to life’ characters in Bollywood films. Starting with 'Chashme Buddoor', 'Saath Saath', 'Kissi Se Na Kehna', 'Katha' and 'Rang Birangi', the actress was a name to be reckoned with in the 80s. She slowly made her foray from mainstream to mother's roles, but was still able to leave an impact on the minds of the viewers. We would love to see this powerhouse of talent hold her own place once again in mainstream cinema.
Juhi Chawla
The chirpy beauty who won hearts with her girl next door acts debuted with Aamir Khan and made a very popular pair with Shah Rukh Khan. Juhi made a comeback with her one time rival Madhuri Dixit in hit flick 'Gulaab Gang'. This very talented actress of 1990s can easily give a run for money to the current lot of actresses for sure.
Kimi Katkar
The actress, known for her bold and beautiful acts onscreen, is still remembered as the 'Jumma Chumma' girl. Kimi Katkar ruled the 80s and the 90s as the sex bomb. In her debut film 'Tarzan', she exploded the screen with bold scenes that paved way for her in Bollywood. Ever since this model turned actress tied the knot with Shantanu Sheorey, she has vanished into thin air. The beauty with a sensuous air surrounding her will be most welcomed, for we would love to see her strike that same arrogant pose that had Amitabh Bachchan singing 'Jumma Chumma de de'.
Manisha Koirala
The Nepali beauty came and conquered all with her innocence. She withstood the deluge of talented veterans like Dilip Kumar and Raj Kumar in Saudagar, gave a performance to die for, opposite Shah Rukh Khan's intense act in Dil Se. She came as a winner after her bout with cancer. We would love to see the gritty actress in an intense role on big screen.
Raveena Tandon
Can you forget that iconic 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani' song that had Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon setting the screen on fire with her rain drenched saree look? Since then, many have tried to ape her act but were not able to. Raveena ruled the 90s, but vanished from the scene after her marriage. At present she is seen making her presence felt in family dramas on small screen. We would love to see her doing something like 'Aks' on big screen once again.
Shilpa Shetty
This yummy mummy has given her career a backseat ever since she tied the knot with Raj Kundra and became a mother to her bundle of joy, Viaan. She has been in the limelight for her healthy lifestyle and promoting Yoga in a big way. Her fans loved not only her films, but her thumkas too launched the movies sky high. Known for her role in 'Life in a Metro', 'Dhadkan' and many others, and even her song in 'Dostana' that was much loved by her die hard fans. this is one actress we are just waiting to see going through that song and dance routine on big screen once again.
Sonali Bendre
The shy girl next door act was Sonali Bendre's USP. Who can forget her as the sharmilee bahurani in 'Hum Saath Saath Hain' or the fiesty cat in Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Duplicate'. She was last seen once again in a Shah Rukh Khan film 'Kal Ho Na Ho'. Though her role was quite short, she managed to leave a mark. At present she has made a debut on small screen, but we would like to see her giving the present lot of actreses some tough competetion on big screen.
Sushmita sen
The gorgeous Bong babe known for her dimpled smile and that glorious figure, was seen making an impact in films like 'Biwi No 1', 'Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya' and many more. The best of the lot was as Miss Chandani in 'Main Hoon Na'. If she created a niche for herself in Bollywood with her style, her personal life too made her a central figure in gossip columns. We would love to see her scorching the big screen once again.
Twinkle Khanna
Mrs FunnyBones is much loved in her new role on social media. But her fans would love to see the Khanna beauty rocking the big screen with her dark mane and those flashing eyes. Be it Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and hubby Akshay Kumar, the actress has given a hit with them all. Though she traversed a very short journey in Bollywood, we would love to see her onscreen just for her chutzpah.
Urmila Matondkar
The child actress turned siren is much remembered for her song and dance routine. If her role in 'Rangeela' gave a tag of sensual beauty then her role in 'Bhoot', 'Ek Haseena Thi' and 'Pinjar' set her apart as an actress par excellence. This Ram Gopal Varma favourite's comeback will be looked upon with glee by her fans.
Sangeeta Bijlani
The 'Tridev' girl who made it big in Bollywood was once romatically linked to Salman Khan. She made it big in Bollywood with films such as 'Tridev', 'Hatimtai', 'Hathyar', 'Jurm', 'Vishnu Devaa' amongst other. Soon she tied the knot with cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, but later separated from him. We would love to see her back on the big screen soon for her sheer screen presence.
Dia Mirza
The Miss India and Miss Asia Pacific 2000 debuted in Bollywood opposite Saif Ali Khan and R Madhavan. This movie led to her appearing in over 40 movies like 'Tehzeeb', 'Dum', 'Deewanapan', 'Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge', 'Tumsa Nahin Dekha', 'Parineeta', 'Dus', 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'. Soon she turned a producer and is busy producing films. But we sure that many of her fans dream about the beauty making a comeback soon.
Bollywood is known for it’s ethereal actresses who make a place for themselves in the hearts of their fans. But as you know, stardom is very fickle but an actress’ timespan on the big screen is more fickle. They remain in the forefront till there is a demand for them, but due to constant competition and demand for new faces many end up giving up this life for marriage and motherhood and some give up for fear of competition with a new face.
