A Purani Haveli
Lonely, deserted and scary. Local people are too afraid for an adventure to spend a night there and see whether the ghost really greets them!
A huge rusted gate which makes weird & scary sound
Unused, since rusted. Try to open it, and it will make a very very weird sound, enough to give you the primary dose of fear.
A Mysterious Ramu Chacha Who Stays Alone In The Deserted Haveli
A caretaker who is as strange as the Haveli where he stays. No one knows where he came from, how old is he, how does he stay all alone. He never speaks to anyone, doesn't move out of the Haveli. Pretty much mysterious!
A graveyard where only dogs sleep
Oh yes, a graveyard! Add to it a moonlit night and a dog crying somewhere around. Goosebumps!
The lady in white saree who stops your car on the highway
Ooh, the evil! Dressed in a white saree and hiding her face, she will stand while you drive through the highway. Stop the car and....we don't know!
A Ghost with big teeth who appears post midnight
He appears past midnight. He's really mean. He could have killed you while you slept, if that was his motto. But no, he first has to wake you up, then scare the hell out of you, then move towards you in slow motion, and then...as the director decides!
An Aghori Baba who turns saviour when the ghost attacks you
He is very important. In most of the horror stories, he is a saviour who appears like a boss just when the ghost is almost set to kill you. He spares you from joining the ghost family!
On an honest note, Bollywood films are less scary and more funny. We won’t lie; there have been films which are qualitatively good and substantial. Take Kannan Iyer’s ‘Ek Thi Daayan’ for example. We were amazed with the performance of actors and the production as well. But sadly, those are yet exceptions.

Over the years, Bollywood horror films have set their own genre. They are so predictable, that you start guessing the climax within half n hour after the movie initiates.
However, it would be a lie if we say we don’t enjoy them. They are supposed to scare us;Â instead, they tickle us straight in our funny bones. Somehow, elements of fear have been so overused that they now have turned tools of laughter.
Here are seven things you’ll find in almost every Bollywood horror film. Check out and tell us if you agree.
