Akshay Kumar also rejected Hollywood movie. World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Studios approached Akshay Kumar for a film starring “The Rock – Dwayne Johnson", but Khiladi Kumar declined the offer as Akshay Kumar was not happy with his character in the film.

Race is a suspense thriller and action movie which explores themes of sibling rivalry, betrayal and passion. It is loosely based on the 1998 Hollywood movie Goodbye Lover. The role of Saif Ali Khan was first offered to Bollywood Khiladi, Akshay Kumar. The movie was a big hit and it become the fourth biggest Bollywood film of 2008. The film's sequel Race 2 was released in 2013, and was also a success.

Baazigar is a 1993 Bollywood crime-thriller film directed by Abbas-Mustan. Initially Akshay Kumar was the first choice to play the lead in the film. Later Shah Rukh Khan played the role of an anti-Hero as and also the first film which earned Shah Rukh Khan a Filmfare Award for Best Actor.

But Akshay Kumar rejected the offer and later Farhan Akhtar received the lead role. The movie performed very well at the box office, eventually being declared a "super hit" domestically and hit overseas. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is the sixth highest grossing 2013 Bollywood film worldwide.
