In one of her tweets, Sherlyn had also revealed that she used to receive numbers on Twitter asking for sex. She had stated, "I’ve been receiving contact numbers on my twitter handle n on contact@sherlynchopra.com of those who wish 2 enjoy…..physical intimacy with me at a price…" Further, she stated that she is no longer available for paid sex. She said, "Sorry to disappoint you but I´m no longer available for paid sex....why? b´coz I´ve come to realize that I derive no pleasure or joy out of physical intimacy that is pursued out of .... obligation(mental/emotional/financial or any other kind)"

Post this tweet, she gave out a justification that she dated older men in her initial days of modelling and they used to shower her with gifts in return of sexual favours. She was qouted saying, "During my initial days of modelling, I started dating men much older than my age who would pamper me silly with expensive gifts. It took me a while to understand that my need-based relationships lacked genuine care, concern, respect and love. After, a great deal of introspection, I realised that just because a person desires me does not necessarily mean that he values me. The intent behind my “confession” was to introduce the born-again Sherlyn to the world by finding closure to her past."
