Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor had quite the ugly break up. There were various rumours of cheating and infidelity making the rounds of headlines. Talking about it, Deepika told Verve Magazine back in 2010, "Yet, I was foolish enough to give him a second chance because he begged and pleaded, despite the fact that everyone around me said he was still straying. I guess I really wanted to believe in him. Then I actually caught him red-handed. It took me a while to get out. But having done that, nothing can make me go back. That ship has sailed."

Ranbir Kapoor had also spoken about him cheating on his girlfriend and not being faithful, he had told Stardust Magazine, "Yes, I have cheated, out of immaturity, out of inexperience, out of taking advantage of certain temptations, out of callousness. You realise it now when you grow up and you value it more. Why be in a relationship, why be committed to someone when you cannot be committed? I’ve realised that now. That’s why I don’t want to jump into a relationship with anybody because … unless you have a special bond, a special equation with somebody, somebody who you can be committed to, somebody who can trust you, who you can respect, there’s no point.”

After his breakup with Kareena Kapoor, as per a report by Koimoi, the actor had said, "Breaking up with Kareena was tough, it did hurt. But as an actor, I have never let anything come in the way of my work. I have always given my best. I will. I have said this right from the time ‘the breakup’ happened that if a good movie comes and the director tells me that no one else except Kareena will suit a certain role, then I have no right to say that I won’t do the film. In fact, if my director will ask me to romance a cow or a buffalo, I will do that. It’s my job.”

Shilpa Shetty and Akshay Kumar had quite the ugly break up. So much so that Shilpa was seen lashing out at Kumar in an interview in 2000, "Akshay Kumar used me and conveniently dropped me after he found someone else. The only person, I was upset with, was him. But I'm sure he'll get it all back. It's not easy to forget the past so soon, but I'm glad I've had the strength to move on. Today, he's a forgotten chapter as far as I'm concerned. I will never work with him again."

No break-up is ever amicable. Otherwise, no one would break up. There are always reasons. Otherwise, there won’t be any break-ups. I believe everything negative that happens in your life is for a positive reason. If your heart breaks, you know that you are a human being and it happens. But you can’t mope over it. There’s only one life. You better get on ahead and fast. Fast enough not to let your past ever catch up with you."
