He faced a lot of flak from political groups, so much so that the film was banned from screening in Gujarat. There were speculations that the entire initiative was mere publicity stunt for his upcoming film.

This couple may be on it's way to a split in real life, but a similar shock was experienced by their fans some time ago when there was a strong buzz about Malaika and Arbaaz parting ways and Arbaaz opting for a remarriage. It later turned out that the entire episode was nothing more than a publicity stunt for a beauty product they were endorsing.

From being the first sex symbol of Bollywood, to a queen of reality show, the actress was also seen grooving with Antonio Banderas at the Cannes film festival. She even made it to the headlines that suggested of the two being more than friends. Turned out it was nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Before the IPL, no one really knew who this lady is, but this high-end attention seeker announced that she would take off all her clothes if Shah Rukh Khan's IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders won the tournament. The fifth edition of IPL was won by SRK’s team and Poonam Pandey kept her promise and uploaded quite a few pictures on social media. So much for publicity!

After his alleged girlfriend Aishwarya Rai decided to move on and tie the knot with Abhishek Bachchan, DVDs of a short film co-produced by Vivek Oberoi were found being distributed right outside Jalsa (Bachchan Mansion)! And that too at a time when Aishwarya held her first press conference inside. While it is not known who was behind this entire episode, isn't it some awkward publicity stunt to pull off?
