Karan Johar speaks on Intolerance

What’s the most important pre-condition for an artist, before he creates? Freedom is the answer. The freedom to imagine and the freedom to express. Producer-Karan Johar has previously made films on sensitive films such as ‘My Name Is Khan’ which deals with the generalization thrown upon Muslims as terrorists and ‘Dostana’ which depicts the popular outlook towards homosexuality in a witty manner. However, when in a conversation with author Sobha de about his soon-to-be-released biography ‘An Unsuitable Boy’, he sounded disappointed and to some extents suffocated as well and stated that he often felt bound.
