‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’

Ae Dil Hai Mushki is one of the most awaited movies of 2016, it is written and directed by none other than Karan Johar. He wrote the screenplay for the movie in 30 days, which is a first for him! He has managed to gather in several superstars of Bollywood including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan( after several unsuccessful attempts to cast her in his previous films like KKHH (1998), K3G (2001), and KANK (2006), Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Fawad Khan.We all are very well aware that Karan Johar is on the best directors of Bollywood and his movies are always entertaining to watch, so Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is slated to be released in October 2016. If reports are to be believed then Ranbir Kapoor will be romancing Aish & Fawad Khan will be a DJ, exciting isn't it!

‘Airlift’

‘Airlift’ is a true story set during the times of Kuwait War, when a number of Indians were left stranded in the war torn nation. Akshay Kumar is depicting the role of Ranjit Katiyal, a powerful Indian origin businessman based in Kuwait who helps many to escape from the war zone. ‘The Lunchbox’ actress Nimrat Kaur is playing the role of his wife.‘Airlift’ revolves around the evacuation of lakhs of Indians from Kuwait during the Iraqi invasion. The movie is Directed by Raja Krishna Menon which will release on January 22, 2016.

‘Dangal’

The film ‘Dangal’ is a Biopic based on wrestling Coach Mahavir Singh Phogat who trained his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari in this sport. The film stars Sakshi Tanwar playing the on Screen wife of Aamir Khan and is directed by Nitesh Tiwari who earlier directed ‘Bhoothnath Returns’ in 2014.The film is slated to release next year in the month of December making it Aamir Khan’s sixth release in this decade after ‘Taare Zameen Par,’ ‘Ghajini,’ ‘3 Idiots,’ ‘Dhoom 3’ and ‘PK’ to release in the same month.

‘Fan’

Fan is an upcoming movie of Shah Rukh Khan which is directed by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj Films. If reports are to be believed SRK will be playing a double role one of a 17-year-old boy in the film for which he underwent 3D scanning to look like a young boy & one playing himself in the film. It was announced that the three-time Academy Award winner make-up artist Greg Cannom is going to develop the look of Khan in the film. The movie revolves around a crazed Shah Rukh Khan fan who apparently looks like him too..So basically, we will have two SRK on the silver screen! How wonderful.

‘Kapoor & Sons’

Kapoor & Sons is an upcoming Indian comedy romantic drama film which will be directed by Shakun Batra of Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu’ fame. The movie that has Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra along with Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan in lead roles. The film is a modern family drama with love a triangle embedded in it. Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor plays the role of the grandfather in the film. The film will be released on 18 March 2016.

‘Neerja’

Neerja is an upcoming movie directed by Ram Madhvani. The film is based on the life of Neerja Bhanot who was shot dead by terrorists who hijacked the Mumbai-New York flight at Karachi on 5 September 1986. Sonam Kapoor will be seen playing the titular role along with Shabana Azmi and Shekhar Ravjiani in supporting roles. The movie is a real eye-opener as it shows how the unsung heroes save the day by putting their lives at risk! The movie is slated to be released 19th February 2016.

‘Raees’

Raees is an upcoming Indian crime-thriller film directed by Rahul Dholakia, starring Shah Rukh Khan in a villainous role. Based on the life of a cruel and clever bootlegger (Shah Rukh Khan) whose business is highly challenged and eventually thwarted by a tough cop Ghulam Patel (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). The film criticizes the prohibition of alcohol, prostitution and illegal drugs in Gujarat. If rumours are to be believed, it is said that Raees happens to be a remake of American TV series Breaking Bad. However, one more straining news related to this film would be the epic clash between (Salman Khan's) 'Sultan' & (Srk's) 'Raees' which will be releasing on the same day on Eid 2016.

‘Rock On!! 2’

The film stars Arjun Rampal, Farhan Akhtar, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli who were also seen in the prequel of the film and it also stars Shraddha Kapoor who is new to the franchise and will be sharing screen space opposite Farhan Akhtar. The movie is a sequel of 'Rock On!' The singer-actress Shraddha Kapoor has lent her voice for three songs in this film along with Farhan Akhtar. The movie is set to be released September 2016.

‘Sultan’

Sultan is an upcoming sports drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra. Salman Khan is playing the lead role of Haryana-based wrestler in the film. Randeep Hooda will be seen as Salman Khan's coach in the film. However, no heroine is signed yet for the film yet but rumours were Mandana Karimi (currently a contestant in the Bigg Boss 9) might be the leading lady for 'Sultan'. The movie is going to release in EID 2016, the epic clash between Srk's 'Raees' and Salman's 'Sultan'!

‘Mohenjo Daro’

Mohenjo Daro is an upcoming epic adventure-romance film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. The movie is based on a period love story with Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde as the lead. The movie dates back to 2600 BC covering the ancient city of Mohenjo-Daro, Sindh Pakistan. The movie has some really great stunts which have been choreographed by Glenn Boswell. Hrithik had to undergo three months of vigorous training to fit the role. As we all know Roshan was missing from Bollywood in 2015 as he was busy shooting for 'Mohenjo Daro', well for all his fans they wait to watch him on the silver screen will be over on 'Mohenjo Daro' worldwide release on 12 August 2016.
