The Controversy!
Like other Bollywood films based on real life stories, Aishwarya and Randeep's 'Sarbjit' too has its share of controversies. Apparently, a lady named Baljinder Kaur from Ludhiana alleged that she is the biological sister of Late Sarabjit Singh, but in the film Dalbir Kaur is proclaimed to be Sarabjit's real sister. She then filed a case against the makers of the film and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan over the same. She claimed that there are too many factual errors in the film and hence it is not a true story.
The locations!
'Sarbjit' is a story about a man who was arrested by Pakistani police when he accidentally missed his path at the border. Hence, the international border dividing India and Pakistan is of utmost importance. A very influential scene has been shot at the Attari border which is not the usual case. The makers did have a tough time acquiring the permission to shoot at the border. It was only after Aishwarya's intervention that the makers could shoot at the Attari border which is just few kilo meters away from Wagah border. Aishwarya spoke to home minister to acquire this permission. Apart from this, few scenes are shot inside the Golden temple in Amritsar, making this film visually appealing.
Randeep Hooda’s transformation!
We were left shocked when the director Omung Kumar revealed the first look of Randeep Hooda from the film. The handsome hunk, known for his perfect physique, let go of his abs and reduced 18 kilos in just 28 days in order to look like Sarabjit. We actually could not recognise Randeep when this picture made it to the internet and we are sure the film would portray the bigger and better picture of Randeep.
Ethereal Aishwarya Rai Bachchan!
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has definitely gone one step further to bring her character of Dalbir Kaur (Sarabjit's sister) to life. From cooking in the Golden temple to cleaning the utensils, she has done everything that her role demands. She has opted for a de-glam avatar and with the looks of it, Aishwarya seems to be on a mission to impress all. If nothing then 'Sarbjit' would be a delight to watch just for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The story!
The film 'Sarbjit' is based on a real life story of an Indian citizen named Sarabjit Singh who was held captive in Pakistani jail for almost 23 years. His sister Dalbir Kaur did everything possible to reunite her brother with his home country, but all in vain. He finally succumbed to the injuries inflicted on him by his Pakistani jail inmates. It is a very fascinating story as his sister did everything possible under the sun to bring justice to his brother. Unfortunately, he could only return to India post his death.

The posters and the leaked images from the sets of ‘Sarbjit’ which made their way to the internet, make the film look promising enough for all the anticipation.
