Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha is all set to play a realistic character in a biopic on Amrita Pritam who is an eminent author-poet. This won't be Sonakshi's first realistic character. She earlier did Vikramaditya Motwane's Lootera, for which she got huge applause. Amrita Pritam is considered the first prominent woman Punjabi poet, novelist, and essayist, and the leading 20th-century poet of the Punjabi language, who is equally loved on both the sides of the India-Pakistan border.
Ayushmann Khurrana
Hawaaizaada is a film inspired by the biography of Shivkar Bapuji Talpade directed by Vibhu Puri. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Sharda in pivotal roles. It follows a fictionalized story of Talpade who is credited with having constructed India's first unmanned plane.
Emraan Hashmi
Azhar is upcoming Biographical Sports film. Directed by Tony D'Souza. The film is a biopic about the former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. Emraan Hashmi plays a role of Mohammad Azharuddin and is produced by Ekta Kapoor. The film is scheduled to release on 13 May 2016 and it stars Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai in lead roles.
Sonam kapoor
Neerja Bhanot is an upcoming 2015 biographical film directed by Ram Madhvani with story. Neerja Bhanot is based on the life of Neerja Bhanot who was shot dead by terrorists who hijacked the Mumbai-New York flight at Karachi on 5 September 1986. Neerja Bhanot, the senior-most cabin crew member on the flight and who is being immortalized in a biopic featuring Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, says the production is well researched. The shooting of the film, which began recently in Mumbai, has got both Sonam Kapoor and Neerja’s family in Chandigarh quite excited.
Sushant Singh Rajput
Its a season of biopics in Bollywood, after Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom we have a biopic on Mahendra Singh Dhoni – India’s most-loved cricketer. As per sources, it seems that Sushant Singh Rajput is going to play the role of M S Dhoni in Neeraj Pandey’s film. “Dhoni has already given his go ahead to the film. Even Sushant is studying Dhoni’s mannerisms as much as possible through his interviews and match clippings. In fact, he has also visited Ranchi (Dhoni’s hometown) and interacted with the locals as a part of his preparation.”
Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor will be essaying Sanjay Dutt's role in the biopic. Film director Rajkumar Hirani has admitted that Ranbir Kapoor is the only actor he has spoken to about playing the lead role in a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, the actor says it will be an immensely challenging part to essay. Talks have been on about Ranbir getting cast for Sanjay’s role in the movie. But the actor, who has shown his versatility through films like “Barfi!” and “Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani”,said, “Biopics are hard because you have to celebrate such a giant man’s life on screen… I would really look forward to getting Sanjay Dutt alive on screen."
Ranbir Kapoor
Legendary singer and actor Kishore Kumar has become a source of an inspiration for director Anurag Basu who is all set to make a biopic on him with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Anurag Basu, who is already busy shooting for Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer “Jagga Jasoos” and also tied down with a new TV show, says he’s feeling restless about the impending status of his biopic on cinematic legend Kishore Kumar. “Everybody associated with the film has committed to doing the film. The director is ready, producer is ready, the family of Kishore Kumar is ready, but the only issue is that the dates are not working out. But it could begin anytime sooner or later,” he added.
