How could she not try Television
Seems like Aditi is fond of trying everything at least once in her life, and soon she was seen on television shows like 'Bigg Boss' season 3, 'Fear Factor', Khatron Ke Khiladi', and the latest was 'Badi Door Se Aaye Hain'.
Gone for good!
Her career was on a high, as she was seen in movies like 'Baaz', 'De Dhana Dhan' and many more. But her personal life was falling apart; her marriage was going through a rough patch. And soon in 2009 she separated from her husband.
Hitting the sliver screen
Aditi managed to raise the eyebrows when she replaced Aishwarya Rai in a Coca Cola advertisement and gained popularity in Bollywood. That was when she was offered to work in Hindi cinema. She made her debut with 'Soch' opposite Sanjay Kapoor. The movie did not do well, but Aditi’s looks were appreciated. And soon she was offered another film.
Modelling was not over yet
Aditi enjoyed walking on ramps for designers, apart from working in ads and music videos. She continued with her modelling career, and even after being 8 months pregnant she walked the ramp. This dedication was definitely acknowledged.
The face of every brand!
After winning so many tags to herself, she became the face of many leading brands. Later, she got a chance to work in music videos of Adnan Sami and Anu Malik.
Miss World 2001
After achieving so many awards to herself, she decided to participate in Miss World Contest 2001. And the blue eyed bombshell deserved this crown. Aditi is an ambitious woman and it shows in her work.
There was no stopping her!
In spite of her marriage, she continued to work as a model, with all the support of her husband. After that she won 'Best Face' and 'Best Body’ awards at Asian Supermodel contest.
Wedding bells for Aditi
Yes, in 1998 Aditi got married to Dr Muzaffal Lakdawala. They were in the same college. This was against her parents' will, as she converted into Islam and her name was changed to Sahra Lakdawala.
Gladrags day!
Aditi wanted to try something different, so one day she decided to send her pictures for the Gladrags 1997 contest, and then there was no stopping her! She won the contest and this became a stepping stone for her modelling career.
Aditi Govitrikar, born on May 21, 1974 belongs to an orthodox Brahmin Maharashtrian family. She was married to Dr Muzaffal Lakdawala whom she knew since college days, and has a daughter with him. She holds a degree of gynaecologist, but chose to not continue with medicine as a career. She always believed that modelling will give her a high and so she tried her luck. Soon she was reaching for the stars, or you can say she was becoming one! Aditi is one of those lucky actresses whose marriage and pregnancy could never sabotage her career.
