Once Tina as back, she and Anil met each other's families and six weeks later, they got married. The couple has spent a long span of togetherness and are blessed with a daughter (Anmol) and a son (Anshul).

Green signal from parents

Anil's parents finally agreed to their relationship. He called Tina and asked she was returning soon. However, Tina had lost all hopes. She kept telling him she would return soon but didn't really return. One day, an impatient Anil called her and asked, You have been telling me you'll come back. I want to know when will you come back?" Tina finally knew, the time had come and she had to be back.

The fight of love…

It was a tough time for Anil too. Many marriage proposals came his way and he turned everything down without a second thought. He would continuously try to convince his parents that Tina was the girl meant to be with him. In the meantime, they spoke only once in four years. That was when there was an earthquake in Los Angeles and Anil was worried about Tina. He found out her number and called her. As soon as Tina picked the phone and said she was safe, he hung up without another word.

Anil was not left with any other option than meeting Tina and explaining things to her. Sure, it wasn't easy for her. But she acted like an understanding mature person and drew an end to their relationship. Soon after this, she left India and flew to America to study Interior Designing.

They went around for a few months and it was time to think about the future. This is where all the trouble started. Anil's family didn't have great thought about people from the film industry and weren't elated over their match either. They wouldn't be glad to accept her as the daughter-in-law.

They again met in 1986. Initially she was not interested to water any love-factor in life. She was in the process of wrapping her career in Bollywood. But Anil's simple and down-to-earth personality attracted her. Anil, on the other hand, had developed some typical notions from people of showbiz world and thought Tina would be the same. But on the contrary, she was extremely sweet.

It was a ‘No’ initially

The next time, they bumped into each other at Philadelphia. This time, Anil gathered the courage to ask Tina out. But ouch, she turned it down!
