Sam Bahadur
Starring Vicky Kaushal in the titular role, Sam Bahadur is based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war led to the creation of Bangladesh. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. It is slated to release on 1 December 2023.
Ae Watan Mere Watan
Directed by Kannan Iyer, the film will see Sara playing the role of a freedom fighter in the 1940s. Ae Watan Mere Watan is inspired by true events and sees Sara Ali Khan as a college girl, who becomes a part of the independence movement. Her character is named Usha Mehta. She was a secret radio operator during the freedom struggle and played a key role in disseminating news across the country through radio during the Quit India Movement.
Pippa
Pippa is a war drama film, which is inspired by a true event and war memoir The Burning Chaffees written by Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta. Starring Ishaan Khatter, the film underscores the bravery of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, a veteran of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron. He and his siblings were on the forefront during the 48-hour Battle of Garibpur, which was fought on the eastern front of India during the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Soni Razdan and Priyanshu Painyuli.

Main Atal Hoon revolves around the journey of our multifaceted ex-Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He was also a poet, a statesman, a leader and a humanitarian. Helmed by National Award-winning director Ravi Jadhav and written by Utkarsh Naithani, the film stars Pankaj Tripathi in the titular role. For those unversed, Atal Bihari Vajpayee was the first non-congress political leader who became the Prime Minister of India. He held the post for three times while serving the country and played a key role in shaping India’s post-Independence domestic and foreign policy.
