In a year that saw an 18% drop in the number of streaming originals launched across major OTT platforms, Netflix maintained its momentum through 2024, premiering 21 Hindi titles across various formats. These included 11 feature films, 6 web series, one documentary, two unscripted docu-series, and a talk show. Looking ahead to 2025, the streaming giant is set to elevate its content game further and has already started the year on a high note with the critically acclaimed crime drama series ‘Black Warrant’.
Today, Netflix India will unveil its 2025 content slate at a talent-packed gala event in Mumbai. While the details of the titles expected to be announced at the “Next On Netflix” event have been kept under wraps, it’s expected to feature a robust lineup of originals straddling multiple genres featuring top Bollywood actors and crafted by some of Hindi cinema’s finest creators. They are poised to deliver unparalleled entertainment across a spectrum of genres and emotions throughout 2025.
Featuring some of Bollywood’s biggest stars and helmed by top-tier filmmakers, these projects promise to bring diverse storytelling and unmatched entertainment to audiences throughout 2025. Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar starrer The Royals, Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s Nadaaniyaan, and YRF’s Mandala Murders are among the projects to be unveiled at the event.
