Actor Aamir Khan, on Independence Day, hosted a competition for the villagers of rural Maharashtra, which had been organised by Paani Foundation, a non-profit organisation set up by Khan and his wife Kiran Rao to address the issue of drought in Maharashtra. Devendra Fadnavis, the Chief Minister of the state, was also present at the event.
