While Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde were shooting for 'Mohenjo Daro', there were rumours of their alleged closeness. But soon the actress cleared the air with a strong statement. "You have no clue how many people have been asking me about this. The rumours don't affect me at all. As a matter of fact, there's nothing to say about it. People can think what they want, but Hrithik and I are just good friends. He's pretty chilled out and we share a good rapport," said Pooja.

Interestingly, it was not Ashutosh Gowariker or Hrithik Roshan who spotted her for 'Mohenjo Daro'. While Ashutosh was searching for a fresh face for the film, it was Ashutosh's wife who spotted Pooja in an advertisement and recommended her to Ashutosh.

Despite finding her roots in Mangalore, Karnataka, Pooja was born and raised in Mumbai itself. She speaks five languages - Tulu, Kannada, Marathi, Hindi, and English.

Acting debut

She made her acting debut in Mysskin's Tamil superhero film 'Mugamoodi' (2012) opposite Jiiva, portrayed the female lead character of 'Shakthi'. She has also worked in films like 'Oka Laila Kosam' and 'Mukunda'.
