Rani Mukerji has a husky voice and at times it was dubbed in movies like Aamir Khan’s 'Ghulam'. However, when even her good friend Karan Johar contemplated to dub Rani’s voice in 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' by hiring a dubbing artist, Rani decided to improve her skills and dubbed her own lines.

Rani Mukerji was offered the lead role in the film 'Aa Gale Lag Jaa' in 1994 by director Salim Khan. But her father disapproved of a full-time career in films as she was young. Eventually, she had to turn down the offer due to her father’s insistence.
