Chak De! India

Chak De! India, Indian sports drama film about field hockey in India. Salman Khan was the first choice to play a role of coach of the Indian women's field hockey team. But Salman Khan had no dates available and the movie was then offered to Shah Rukh Khan.

Ghajini

Ghajini, a psychological thriller film written and directed by A. R. Murugadoss and produced by Allu Aravind and Madhu Mantena starring Aamir Khan, Asin and Jiah Khan. Aamir himself suggested Salman's name for the role but Salman Khan refused to play a role of Sanjay Singhania due to some reasons. It became the highest grossing movie of all time until it was beaten by another Aamir Khan movie 3 Idiots the following year.

Kal Ho Naa Ho, an Indian romantic comedy-drama film, directed by debutante director Nikhil Advani. Salman Khan was initially the first choice for Rohit Patel, but he didn't want to play the second fiddle to the Baadshah and the role went to Saif Ali Khan.

It won 10 Filmfare Awards, the most for a single film at that time, and won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.
