Shibani Dandekar ditched the traditional lehenga & opted for red gown with floor-sweeping train for her wedding

Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akhtar are all over the news ever since they shared pictures from their dreamy wedding. Their marriage ceremony was one of a kind! Along with the pictures, we're also swooning over Shibani's oh-so-perfect bridal outfit.

For her big day, Dandekar wore a Jade by Monica and Karishma custom-designed lehenga. The outfit was designed and styled by celebrity stylist Shaleena Nathani for Dandekar's wedding.

Shibani opted for a strapless lehenga gown with a bustier and her skirt featured, a mermaid flare, which will definitely take you back to the 90's

The most gorgeous bride

The bride accessorised with red pointy-toe pumps from Aquazzura and jeweller that featured rubies. She paired her stunning bridal outfit with a floor-length mermaid silhouette skirt with a lavish floor-sweeping train.

Designer Monica Shah from JADE by Monica and Karishma shared the details about Dandekar's gown and told Cosmopolitan: "From the get-go, Shibani was deeply involved in the design process. She was seeking something unique, albeit personal, and hence, opted for a modern corset and skirt with a veil—all while retaining the traditional bridal colour—rather than going for a bridal lehenga or sari. The entire ensemble was handcrafted by our master artisans, from French Chantilly Lace, on our signature vermillion red palette. The trail was about 3 meters long and the bridal veil around 5 meters in length and 100 inches in width."

Mermaid gown

 The 41-year-old actress kept her makeup on point for her D-Day.  Her makeup was soft and simple. The actress' hair was styled into voluminous waves and parted in the centre with face-framing curtain bangs to top it off.

Modern Indian bride

Shibani's mermaid silhouette of the wedding gown accentuated her curves and made her look drop dead gorgeous.

First dance

While Shibani donned a JADE by Monica and Karishma creation—a modern corset and skirt with a veil handcrafted from French Chantilly Lace in bridal red. Her husband complemented his bride-to-be, Farhan Akhtar donned a dapper black suit with a bowtie.
