Letter to Shah Rukh Khan!
In 'Chak De! India', Shilpa Shukla, played the character of a hockey player who falls in love with her coach. Her love is fierce and so is she. Shah Rukh Khan was really impressed by her performance in 'Chak De! India' and also complimented her for the same. That's when she wrote a letter to King Khan and passed it to him through his bodyguard.

After 'Khamosh Pani', Shilpa Shukla went to become a member of hockey team in Shah Rukh Khan's 'Chak De! India'. Later, she featured in an erotica 'B A Pass' and brought glory to the film. 'B A Pass' won several international awards including Audience Choice Award at the South Asian Alternative Film Festival (SAAFF) in France.

Soon after she dropped out of the acting school, she joined a theatre group called Asmita. For many years she had been associated with this group and learned the art of acting. In her interview, she revealed that when she joined this group, for two years she did nothing but worked backstage making posters and serving tea.

Shilpa Shukla, in one of her interviews, confessed that she had enrolled herself in Sri Ram Centre of Acting when the realisation of becoming an actor set in, but within 20 days she dropped out of the college. 'I couldn’t tie myself down to any generic teaching' is what she said in one of her interviews.
