‘Baazigar’
Baazigar is one of the legendary movies of Bollywood and also a turning point for Shah Rukh Khan. SRK's performance as a merciless avenger and a passionate lover in disguise was commendable. However, the biggest blooper was when Shahrukh Khan killed Shilpa Shetty by throwing her off the terrace of a multi-storey building and Shilpa was shown falling on the glass rooftop which broke and she fell down dead. A couple of minutes after this, Shahrukh is seen leaving the building and the glass roof is all there in a decent state. How did Shilpa manage to fall down then?
‘Baghban’
Baghban is a 2003 Bollywood drama film directed by Ravi Chopra, featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini in lead roles. The movie portrayed the story of an elderly couple and how the children of new age don’t respect their parents and make their life a living hell. However, the concept and the direction was brilliant but the interesting part was when the movie showed the intense love between the elderly couple, but the writer got carried away and did not pay attention to his calendar. The blooper was when Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini were separated by the children for six months and this happened just after the festival of Holi that usually falls in the month of March. The movie shows Valentine’s Day celebration during their separation. Valentine’s Day falls on 14th of February and in no way it can occur within six months after Holi.
‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’
One of the major blockbusters of Hindi cinema 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' also could not escape the blooper game and made a silly mistake. As the second half of the movie was shot in Punjab and has shown most of the scenic beauties of the town but totally goofed up during the last seen when Shahrukh fights with Parmeet Sethi and others on the railway station of Punjab, the sign board in the background shows it as station ‘Apta’. The board is clearly visible several times including the moment when Shahrukh is in the train and everyone else is standing on the platform. ‘Apta’ is around 700 Kilometers away from Punjab and is situated near Mumbai.
‘Housefull’
'Housefull'is a 2010 Indian comedy film directed by Sajid Khan. The movie was a laughing riot till the very end and the epic part is during the last scene of the movie when the actors are inside Buckingham Palace in London, laughing uncontrollably due to the effect of the laughing gas. However, the really funny part is that the gas that arrived in the tempo during the scene had a mark as KA-51 (Karnataka Gas). Gas suppliers from Karnataka are truly celebrated in London!
‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’
'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' is a 1999 Bollywood romantic drama film directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The second half of the movie shows Aishwarya Rai and Ajay Devgn are in Italy to find Salman and the film have been shot in few parts of Italy but has also shown a bridge several times. Aishwarya is seen running on the same bridge in the last scene of the movie when she decides to leave Salman Khan and go back to Ajay Devgn. This is the very famous Széchenyi Chain Bridge located in Hungary. Now how did Aishwarya manage to run on a bridge of Hungary when she went to Italy in search of Salman Khan..!?
‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan sings the famous song ‘Aati Kya Khandala’ from the movie 'Ghulam'. During this, the film shows the year 1991 while 'Ghulam' was released in 1998.
‘Lagaan’
Lagaan is a 2001 Indian epic sports-drama film written and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. The movie was nominated for the oscars, which is without a doubt something to be pleased with being an Indian. However, the makers overlooked a major aspect as the movie is set in 1892 and during the cricket match the players are shown playing six balls per over which should be eight balls per over as six balls per over were introduced somewhere around 1982-83.
‘Sarfarosh’
Sarfarosh is a 1999 Indian action drama film. It was produced, written and directed by John Matthew Matthan and starred Naseeruddin Shah, Sonali Bendre and Aamir Khan. However, the silly blooper happened during the song 'Jo Haal Dil Ka' a little girl gives a fully bloomed red rose to Aamir Khan and after some time it changes into a red rose bud. This is truly odd. In the event that the bud had changed into a bloomed rose, I would have given it a qualm.
Bollywood movies are filled with boundless fun and laughter riots, yet do you realize that there is more to the movies? Although, the team works really hard to make the movie look realistic but at times a few slip-ups or Bollywood bloopers are inescapable.
