Soojit Sircar's 'Piku' starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan garnered critical appreciation. Tanu Weds Manu Returns
After her smashing hit last year 'Queen,' Kangana Ranaut presented her yet another masterpiece 'Tanu Weds Manu Returns' alongside R Madhavan. The movie which was a sequel to their film 'Tanu Weds Manu' surpassed the appreciation garnered by the part one film making it to the list of top-grossing films of the year. By the end of week 2, the film had already made its presence felt in the 100 crore club. This is minus money made by the film in the overseas market. Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan
As stated earlier, Salman Khan was on a mission to break all the records at the box-office this year and his 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' was no different. The beautiful story of a man who did his best to help a mute girl hailing from the rival country unite with her family won the hearts of millions. The amazing plot added with Salman Khan's charm was the USP of the film. It was the first film of 2015 to enter the 200 crore club and that too within just 9 days of its release. Positive word of mouth just added to the films glory and it soon made a record. It is indeed the highest grossing film of the year with approximately 400 crores in its kitty. According to Taran Adarsh, the movie is an All TIME BLOCKBUSTER.
5 Aug 1994. #HAHK releases. Creates HISTORY... 5 Aug 2015. Exactly 21 years later, #BajrangiBhaijaan too creates HISTORY, crosses ₹ 300 cr.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo
Salman Khan could rightly be given the title of 'Man Of The Match' of 2015 as he ruled the box-office with his back to back superhits. After 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan,' Salman Khan wooed his fans as 'Prem' in Sooraj Barjatya's 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' and the same all story continued. He broke many records at the box-office (some of them set by himself) and became the biggest grosser film of the year. Forget 100 crores, by week 3 Salman Khan's PRDP had crossed 200 crore mark as per the domestic collections. By the end, the film's overall collection (domestic+overseas) made it to the 400 crores. Here's the proof.
#PRDP to cross ₹ 400 cr gross worldwide today. India ₹ 207.4 cr till Mon [₹ 305 cr gr] + Oseas $ 14.2 mn [₹ 93.7 cr gr]. Total: ₹ 398.7 cr.

Bajirao Mastani
Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra starrer 'Bajirao Mastani' gave a tough competition to Shah Rukh Khan - Kajol's 'Dilwale.' The two films released on the same day turning the box-office into a battle ground. Fortunately, just like 'Dilwale,' 'Bajirao Mastani' too was appreciated by the audiences making it one the top grossing film of the year. Though it had a very slow start as compared to 'Dilwale,' the film soon picked up the pace and now it has entered the 100 crore club. Just after 'Dilwale' made it to the 100 crore club, 'Bajirao Mastani' followed the league and crossed the 100 crore mark in week two. According to Taran Adarsh,'Bajirao Mastani' had collected approximately 108 crores in week two.

Dilwale
This December every one was in for a treat as the most awaited film of the year 'Dilwale' hit the box-office on December 18. The movie directed by Rohit Shetty marked the comeback of Bollywood's most iconic jodi that of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Well, with this we expected this movie to be smashing hit and yes, it definitely broke few records at the box-office. Within three 'Dilwale' entered the 100 crore club as per the worldwide collections of the film. Even on the home turf 'Dilwale' received one of the biggest openings of this year and by the end of the second week of it's release, the movie had crossed 100 crore mark as per the trade Analyst Taran Adarsh. He tweeted,
#Dilwale [Week 2] Fri 8.11 cr [Christmas holiday]. Total: ₹ 110.76 cr. India biz.

Box-office collections now decide whether the film is a ‘blockbuster’ or a ‘flop-buster.’ To be in the list of top blockbuster films, the sole criteria for any Bollywood drama is to rake in maximum moolah at the box-office and break some records set by the other films. 100 crore and 200 crore clubs have now become synonyms to superhit films. The year 2015 was filled with such films which gave a record-breaking performance at the box-office. We list out some of them.
