Actress Nargis Fakhri is all set to mesmerise us in the forthcoming musical drama as she plays the role of a DJ and is paired opposite Riteish Deshmukh who is a banjo player. By now, you may have seen the songs and the trailer of the movie and you see Riteish crooning to upbeat numbers like a rockstar. Now doesn’t that remind us of another movie featuring Nargis Fakhri with the theme of a rockstar?

We are referring to the superhit movie ‘Rockstar’ which released in 2011 and was also Nargis Fakhri’s debut. It featured her opposite the handsome Ranbir Kapoor, a rockstar who later turns into a jilted lover. The movie also depicted the passionate chemistry between Ranbir and Nargis which can’t be forgotten.

It’s for this reason that we draw comparisons between the musical ‘Rockstar’ and the upcoming ‘Banjo’ that also deals with the theme of music. But this time it’s Riteish, and not Ranbir. Even though, ‘Banjo’ hasn’t hit the theatres as yet, the superb chemistry between the two actors is there for all to see.
