Aamir Khan has adopted two villages in Maharashtra that is reeling under the effects of Drought. The fans of the Khan were over the moon on hearing this news and were soon praising the ‘PK‘ actor on the social network. It was even mentioned that the Perfectionist had adopted the Tal and Koregaon villages in Maharashtra. But now the publicity team of the superstar denies all such news. They stated that the actor has not adopted any villages in the Satara district.

Sources said, “Aamir Khan is closely working with his NGO – The Paani Foundation, to provide relief to over 120 villages in the drought affected regions of Maharashtra.”
Aamir Khan is busy with his biopic ‘Dangal’ that is based on Mahavir Phogat, the Khan who was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani directorial ‘PK’ will be depicting the role of a wrestler in it. The movie is scheduled to release during the time of Christmas this year. On the other hand, there are a group of actors from Bollywood and regional cinema who came forward to support the drought-hit citizens in the state.
Actor Nana Patekar has been working towards the upliftment of farmers in drought-hit areas. The actor had also donated a major portion of his earnings for the upliftment of farmers and their families. Akshay Kumar too donated Rs. 50 lakhs towards ‘Jalyukt Shivar Abhiyaan’, an initiative taken by the Maharashtra government. In the past, the Khiladi had donated Rs. 90 lakhs to the families of 180 farmers who committed suicide.
