Popular Tamil actor-cum-director Cheran suffered a severe head injury while shooting in Dindigul. As per thenewsminute.com’s report, the actor was shooting for his upcoming movie named Anandham Vilayadum Veedu. The cast and crew were shooting in one of the houses in Dindigul. And during one of the shots, Cheran slipped, fell and injured his head. As per the leaked visuals, the actor was wearing a blue shirt and white veshti. During the shoot, he lost his balance and fell from a height. Even though he received eight stitches, he completed the shoot.
According to reports, the cast and crew are back in Chennai after the accident. Speaking of the movie, the same is being helmed by Nandha Periyasamy and the film also stars Gautham Karthik and Shivathmika Rajashekar in pivotal roles. The movie is a family drama and the Dindigul house plays a vital role in the story. The director had earlier said, “The film will be on the lines of Karthik sir’s Varusham 16 and is based on a village carnival backdrop.”
For the unversed, Cheran is a four-time National Award-winning actor-director. His National Award-winning works are Autograph, Vetri Kodi Kattu, Thavamai Thavamirundhu. Some of his famous works are Raman Thediya Seethai, Yuddham Sei and Pandavar Bhoomi. Many do not know that he was a Bigg Boss Tamil contestant in Season 3. He was evicted after 90 days in the house.
Apart from being an actor and director, he also owns a distribution platform called C2H and a music company named Dream Sounds. He used to pen his life experiences in the Tamil Weekly Magazine named Ananda Vikatan which was later published as a book.
