The ‘Queen’ of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut is a powerhouse performer known for her superlative acts in every upcoming release of hers. The actress who has been going through some hardships and legal tussles in her personal life ringed in her birthday in a very low-key manner a few days ago. But here’s a moment to rejoice for her, which has flushed out all those bad thoughts. The actress can now turn on her celebratory mood as she has won the National Film Award for Best Actress.
Recently, the winners of the 63rd National Film Awards were announced where Kangana bagged the Best Actress honour for her dual role in ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’. The actress who started her film journey in the year 2006 with Anurag Basu’s ‘Gangster’ has picked up this coveted honour for the third time. She won the award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Shonali Gujral in ‘Fashion’ and later won the Best Actress for Vikas Bahl’s ‘Queen’ in 2015. This is worth noticing that she has won the Best Actress honour for two years consecutively, beating every Bollywood as well as the Indian actresses of her league.
Keeping us hooked throughout with her natural performances, all eyes are now set on Vishal Bhardwaj’s next directorial ‘Rangoon’ which is her next release. The film-maker who has been associated with some good cinematic gems like ‘Maqbool’, ‘Omkara’ and ‘Haider’ will be seen working with this powerhouse performer for the very first time, making the project even more worthwhile. Will ‘Rangoon’ help her strike a hat-trick at the National Awards? Only time will tell.
Kangana Ranaut is the third actress, first being veteran Shabana Azmi who has been bestowed with this honour three times in a row and actress Archana (of regional cinema) who has won this coveted honour twice in a row.
We certainly believe in the calibre of an actress like Kangana Ranaut who performs her every role with equal finesse to easily be the best this year as well.
We hope, that she carries on doing such amazing performances and keep all of us entertained with it. Till then wishing big hearty congratulations on her latest win this year.
