Actor Ajith and his wife Shalini have been together for 23 years. A pic of both has taken the internet by storm and fans of the couple are swooning over it. On March 21, actress Shamlee posted an unseen romantic picture of her sister Shalini and brother-in-law Ajith. In the pic, the Valimai actor was seen passionately kissing Shalini on her cheek as he hugged her from behind. Shamlee, sharing the pic on her Instagram handle mentioned that the couple is celebrating “23 years of togetherness”. Fans are pouring in with wishes for Ajith and Shalini in the comments section.

Ajith and Shalini fell in love with each other on the sets of their first film, Amarkalam in 1999. He had accidentally cut her hand while shooting. Ajith took care of her during the entire film. After dating for a few years, the couple tied the knot on April 24, 2000. Ajith and Shalini have a daughter Anoushka who was born in 2008 and son Aadvik whom they welcomed in 2015. Shalini quit films after her marriage.

Thala Ajith’s 61st film is tentatively titled AK61, and it will mark the third collaboration of H Vinoth and Boney Kapoor with Ajith after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai. Reportedly, he has also joined hands with director Vignesh Shivan for a film that is tentatively titled AK62.
