Akshay Kumar to begin shooting for his double role act in ‘Ikka’ in August

Akshay Kumar is a star who keeps on raising the level of expectations of his fans, with every upcoming film of his. The actor who is currently shooting with ‘Thalaiva’ Rajinikanth for the much-anticipated sequel to sci-fi ‘Enthiran’ titled ‘2.0’ in Chennai is busy handling his date diary for his forthcoming projects. The actor who has been signed by director AR Murugadoss for the remake of his Tamil blockbuster ‘Kaththi’ tentatively titled ‘Ikka’, was managing to lock his dates for this one without tampering the commitments with his other ventures.

And finally, news has it in that the shooting schedule of the movie is locked in the month of August. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, ‘Khiladi’ Kumar will start rolling for this project after the release of ‘Rustom’ on 12th August. Sources say, “Murugadoss is presently re-scripting the film to fit a more North Indian set-up but Akshay will be seen in a double role.”

The movie is planned to be shot exclusively in Chennai for two months. “The story will travel through Kolkata, Chennai, Mumbai and Bangkok, but will be filmed entirely in Chennai,” added the source.

‘Ikka’ will feature Akshay Kumar in a double role after a gap of 4 years. He was last seen playing a double role in action comedy film ‘Khiladi 786’.

Keeping in mind the track record of this versatile actor in the last couple of years, we could expect another bang-on movie coming soon.
