Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa to have part 3 in the franchise? Latest announcement hints at exciting update

Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise became an instant rage on its release. After Baahubali and K.G.F, it was the third film from the South to receive such widespread acceptance pan-India. The second part of the series titled Pushpa: The Rule was announced alongside the release of the first part. While the audience is already excited for it, seems like the makers have yet another surprise in store.

On Wednesday, the makers of Pushpa dropped a special new video. It sees people hunting Pushpa and questioning his whereabouts. While the search for Pushpa is already exciting, the caption created another intrigue as it hints towards a possible third part.

Pushpa to have a part 3?

The caption on the video reads, “#WhereIsPushpa ? The search ends soon! The HUNT before the RULE… Reveal on April 7th at 4.05 PM”. Since the second part is titled Pushpa: The Rule, the phrase ‘Hunt before the rule’ has hinted that there might be a third part in the making too about the hunt for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa.

Fahadh Faasil on a possible Pushpa 3

Pushpa had renowned actor Fahadh Faasil play the antagonist . In an earlier interview last year, the actor had opened up about a conversation he had with director Sukumar. He had said, “When Sukku (Sukumar) first told me the story, Pushpa was only in one film, after the police station scene and my part in the second half, then it became two parts. Recently when he talked to me, he said to be prepared for Pushpa 3 because he had enough materials to do it.”

Seems like the planning might have worked out and Pushpa 3 may be in the pipeline. Pushpa: The Rise released in December 2021 and was an instant rage at the box office. It shattered and created many records pan-India, especially being one of the first major commercial successes post pandemic. The sequel is expected to release later this year.

The special announcement on Wednesday happened on the birthday of leading lady Rashmika Mandanna. And the next announcement on April 7, will happen on Allu Arjun’s birthday eve. The audience is surely in for a treat and it remains to be seen if the possibility of a part 3 indeed turns out to be true.
