Allu Arjun REACTS to his arrest in Pushpa 2 stampede death case; says, “I am feeling sorry for…”

Actor Allu Arjun was arrested by on Friday following death of a women at Pushpa 2 screening. The actor had sought interim bail, which was granted by the Telangana High Court; however, delays in paperwork resulted in him spending a night in jail. Allu Arjun is now home and the actor has recated to the arrest and incident.

Allu Arjun, upon his return, spoke to the media and said, “There’s nothing to worry. I am doing well. I like to thank my fans.” He also said, “I am a law-abiding citizen. I will co-operate with police. The accident at Pushpa 2 screening was unintentional. I am feeling sorry for what happened. I give my condolence to deceased lady’s family.”

Calling the incident ‘unfortunate’, the actor added, “I thank everyone and we are extremely sorry what ever happened. We are with the family, this never happened with anyone, I am there to support family in every way, I am thankful to everyone.” Several videos about the actor reuniting with his family has also gone viral.

What happened at Sandhya theatre?

On December 4, a massive crowd gathered at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad to see Allu Arjun during Pushpa 2 screening. This resulted in a tragic stampede. Revathi, a 39-year-old woman, died due to asphyxiation, and her 8-year-old son was hospitalised. The incident was followed by a complaint registered from her family against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre’s management.

Talking about the movie, it also star Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. So far, the film has entered 1000 crores globally and is wreaking havoc at the box office.
