Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa-The Rise is a phenomenal success. It released during the Covid-19 pandemic, yet it has emerged as one of the most successful films. Being a Telugu film, it did terrific even in the Hindi version. The Sukumar directorial is a blockbuster. Pushpa is a three-part movie. The second part that is titled Pushpa-The Rule will be made on a whopping budget. In fact, Pushpa 2’s budget will be more than the first part as per reports. As per a report in India Today , Pushpa: The Rule’s production costs alone might touch the Rs 200 crore-mark.
The latest updates state that Pushpa 2, will have an whopping budget 400 crore. Reports also claim that Allu Arjun is charging Rs 100 crore as his remuneration. If the reports turn out to be true, it will be highest fee he had charged for a film till now.
Pushpa: The Rise had already set the bar high and people have more expectations from its second installment. That’s why director Sukumar has apparently asked for a production budget of Rs 200 crore as he wants to make it on a grand scale.
Pushpa: The Rise released in theatres in December 2021. The sequel is likely to hit the theatres in 2023.
Earlier, a source told Bollywood Hungama, “Pushpa 2 was planned on a much bigger scale than the first part. When the first part succeeded beyond all expectations, the budget was increased and the action sequences were improved. But now with KGF – Chapter 2 breaking all records, Sukumar wants to up the ante much further.”
Pushpa-The Rise also starred Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil.
