Pushpa: The Rise released theatrically in India in December 2021 during uncertain times due to Covid pandemic. However, the film was a resounding success performing exceedingly well nationwide. On Thursday, Pushpa achieved another honour as Allu Arjun was announced to win the Best Actor award at National Film Awards 2023.

Post the humongous success of the film, Allu became a national phenom. The actor’s hooksteps from the movie’s songs, namely Saami Saami, Srivalli, Oo Antava, became a huge sensation among the audience on a global scale. The sequel of the film, Pushpa: The Rule, is also currently under works and fans are eagerly awaiting for it to hit the big screens.

Devi Sri Prasad wins National Award for Pushpa

The pan-India blockbuster added another award to its accolades list as Devi Sri Prasad won Best Music Direction. He shared that honour with MM Keeravani who won it for RRR. With Pushpa 2 up for release soon, the National Award win has surely increased the fans’ excitement.
