Anupam Kher dubs for an international documentary drama

The very senior actor Anupam Kher has dubbed for an International documentary drama which is based on the life of Paramahansa Yogananda, who is regarded as the father of yoga in the west.

Anupam Kher is a known face in the West, what with his roles in movies like ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ and ‘Speedy Singhs’ to name a few. But this was a first time that the actor has dubbed for an international docu-drama. He has lent his voice, as a first-person narration for this docu-drama. The film has been directed by two Americans, Paola Di Florio and Lisa Leeman, who are also the spiritual leader’s disciples.

Anupam Kher says that he is not a follower of Yogananda’s works, but he finds his teachings very interesting. The senior actor feels India should be proud of its spiritual heritage.
