Atlee demands 100% hike in fees after Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan for his next big budget film with Allu Arjun: Reports

Predominately a South Indian filmmaker, Atlee is currently one of the most sought-after directors in the country ever since the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan minted 1000 crores at the worldwide box office. As the popularity of the filmmaker increased post the release of the action-thriller news of him collaborating with stars like Allu Arjun and Salman Khan began doing the rounds. Now we have an update on the same and even details on how much he is reportedly charging for it.

A report recently stated that Atlee’s next will star Allu Arjun in the lead. The story for the same has already been locked in. While an official confirmation is awaited, the report revealed Arjun will begin shooting this film soon after completing Pushpa 2. The ‘Arya’ actor was initially supposed to do a film with Sukumar after Pushpa 2, but opted to work with the Jawan director after Guntur Kaaram failed to impress at the box office.

Atlee salary demand

As per a recent Track Tollywood’s report, Atlee has demanded a hefty amount as payment to direct his next film starring Allu Arjun. As per the report, the ‘Bigil’ director has asked for a whopping 60 crores for the big budget film. If this report is true, it is a 100% hike in remuneration for the director after Jawan. For the unversed, Atlee reportedly charged 30 crores for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer. Aside from this amount, the report also claims the filmmaker will be entitled to a share in the film’s profit.

The report also states that around 250 crores will be spent in salaries for the cast and crew. Arjun has reported asked for remunerations in the range of 120 crores. The filmmaker is currently busy with the pre-production works for this film. An official announcement of the film is expected on Allu Arjun’s birthday – April 8.
