Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar reunite for Dinesh Vijan’s next

Bollywood actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar are all set to reunite once again. The talented duo who worked together in ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisa'(2015) and ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ (2017) are a favourite of the audience all thanks to their onscreen chemistry and award-winning performances. They will soon be seen in an upcoming quirky comedy.

As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar will play the lead roles in Amar’s quirky romance titled ‘Bala’. The film will be produced by Dinesh Vijan.

Speaking to Mumbai Mirror Dinesh said, The story of ‘Bala’ will focus on the odds of the society of colour and appearance. Ayushmann will be seen as a man who balds maturely and Bhumi will play the role of a dusky girl. It will show society’s obsession with the fair skin.

Amar Kaushil said that through the character’s journey, the film impresses as people are usually attracted to the outward beauty and don’t want to know the real person. He called the story hilarious and one that will make people think.

Dinesh also revealed the reason the movie is titled ‘Bala’, He confided to Mumbai Mirror that Ayushmann’s character in the film is named Bala. “It’s his nickname really but I thought it was an apt title. It is also a tongue-in-cheek pun on his life story ‘Bal Aa Aaa Aaa’.
