The makers of ‘Azhar‘ have released yet another dramatic poster of the film that brings out the extreme emotions cricket fans experienced when the match fixing scandal broke. Allegations were leveled against former Indian cricket captain and country’s youth icon Mohd. Azharuddin as he faced a barrage of protests and accusations for being a ‘sell out’ and a ‘match fixer’.
The burning hoarding along with a sea of fans and protestors gives us an indication that the film will have dramatic twists and turns. Emraan and Nargis walking in the foreground tells us just how Azharuddin faced the allegations and how Sangeeta was by his side through it all. Even though ‘Azhar’ is not a biopic, the film is based on certain well known incidents and facts of Azharuddin’s life. With the film buzz on a high, thanks to a hard hitting trailer and chartbuster first song- ‘Bol Do Na Zara’, we cannot wait to know what’s more in store for the audiences as they get ready to Love, Hate and Judge ‘Azhar’ on May 13th.
‘Azhar’ is directed by Tony D’Souza. The film stars Emraan Hashmi, Prachi Desai, Nargis Fakhri and Lara Dutta along with others.
