Randeep Hooda could be definitely termed as the dark horse of Bollywood when it comes to seeing his recent filmography with movies like ‘Highway’, ‘Rang Rasiya’ and ‘Main Aur Charles’. After delivering such surprise performances to his fans through these movies, the actor is now ready to send a chill down our spines with his upcoming biopic ‘Sarbjit‘ where he essays the title role of Indian farmer Sarabjit Singh.

This Omung Kumar directorial is based on the life of a farmer who was jailed on false accusations of spying and terrorism in Pakistan. He remained there for almost a span of 23 years finally dying to the injuries done to him by his Pakistani jail inmates before he could return to his motherland. Randeep went to the extreme point for his love towards the movie that actually made him lose 18 kg in just 28 days.

This dedication paid off when the first look of Randeep was out with his director Omung Kumar. Another picture of the actor was recently released where we see him spending his day in the prison cell.

The painful expression on his face and the bruises all over his body make you feel the motion and leave you wanting to know more about this character who went through this agony being unable to defend himself.

‘Sarbjit’ also stars an ensemble cast of actors like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as Dalbir Kaur (sister of Sarabjit Singh) and Richa Chadha as Sukhpreet Kaur, wife of Sarabjit.

It is slated to release on May 20, 2016.
