Veteran choreographer Shiva Shankar passes away; SS Rajamouli, Sonu Sood pay emotional tribute

National Award-winning choreographer Shiva Shankar Master passed away on Sunday evening. The popular choreographer breathed his last in a hospital in Hyderabad. He was admitted to the intensive care unit of the hospital after testing positive for coronavirus. But he lost his battle with the virus and passed away due to Covid-19 related complications.

Ace filmmaker SS Rajamouli mourned the demise of National Award-winning choreographer who passes away at 72. Not just him but even Sonu Sood shared his condolences on Twitter.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Rajamouli wrote, “Sad to know that renowned choreographer Shiva Shankar Master garu has passed away. Working with him for Magadheera was a memorable experience. May his soul rest in peace. Condolences to his family.”

Sonu Sood wrote, “Heartbroken to hear about the demise of Shiv Shankar masterji. Tried our best to save him but God had different plans. Will always miss you masterji. May almighty give strength to the family to bear this loss. Cinema will always miss u sir.”

Shiva Shankar bagged the ‘Best Choreography Award’ for the blockbuster movie ‘Magadheera featuring Ram Charan and Kajal Aggarwal in the leads. He has also acted in a number of Telugu and Tamil films. Shiva Sankar Master’s last rites will take place at Hyderabad’s Maha Prasthanam at 2 pm.
