Cold Case: Prithviraj Sukumaran and Aditi Balan starrer crime thriller to release on THIS date

Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer Cold Case has finally got a release date. The crime thriller will release on Amazon Prime Video on June 30. The makers, today unveiled an intense poster of Cold Case featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran as Sathyajith, the cop.

Amazon Prime Video revealed the poster of Cold Case, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran as a cop, and wrote, “Murder, mystery, crime, and suspense… We are ready to be thrilled! Watch #ColdCaseOnPrime June 30”. In the poster, Prithviraj can be seen in a powerful and intense look. A hand is shown in the shadow behind, along with a streak of blood drop, that has doubled our excitement.

Cold Case also stars Aditi Balan, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, Anil Nedumangad, Suchitra Pillai, Athmeeya Rajan, Gibin Gopinath, and Pooja Mohanraj. Produced by Anto Joseph Films and Plan J Studios, the film is directed by cinematographer turned director Tanu Balak and written by Sreenath V Nath.

A few days back producer Anto Joseph, in a statement, confirmed that Fahadh Faasil’s Malik and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Cold Case will release on OTT. Joseph said, “These films will only recover their production costs only if 100 per cent occupancy is allowed. Since there is no clarity on when the theatres will reopen and given the existing economic hurdles, I’m trying for an OTT release for these films.”

Earlier, the movie grabbed the headlines as the cast and crew including Prithviraj were stranded in Jordan for more than 60 days due to the COVID-19 lockdown. They went to Jordan in March to shoot. They returned to India on May 22.

Apart from Cold Case, Prithviraj will also be seen in Aadujeevitham, Vaariyamkunnan, Kaduva, Jana Gana Mana among others.
